By car
Via the A40 (coming from Essen)
Coming from Essen, take the A40 to the Route 40/Dortmund exit, then follow the signs towards Bochum, keep directly to the right, and exit the A40. Stay on the 448 for approx. 4 km, before taking the Hattingen/BO-Stiepel exit; then turn right onto Königsallee. Turn right at the first intersection, turning onto Berneckerstrasse, which then becomes Prinz-Regent-Strasse.
Via the A40 (coming from Dortmund)
Coming from Dortmund, take the A40 to the Bochum-Harpen (37) exit, then head right onto Castroper Hellweg / L654 towards Ruhr-Universität / Bochum-Altenbochum / Bochum-Harpen. Follow the road for approx. 6 km, then turn right onto Königsallee / L551. After approx. 1 km, turn right onto Berneckerstrasse and follow it around.
Via the A43 (coming from Münster)
Coming from Münster, take the A43 to the Bochum-Gerthe (17) exit. Keep right, before turning onto Castroper Hellweg / L654 towards Essen / Bochum-Gerthe, and then turn right again towards Bochum-Zentrum / Opel Werk. Keep left at the Bochum-Harpen interchange. Follow the road for approx. 6 km, before turning right onto Königsallee / L551. Then turn right again onto Berneckerstrasse and follow it around.
Via the A43 (coming from Wuppertal)
Coming from Wuppertal, take the A43 to the Bochum-Querenburg (19) exit. Turn right onto Universitätsstrasse / K3 and follow the road for approx. 2 km. Then turn left onto Nordhausen-Ring and, after 1 km, turn right onto Königsallee / L551. Now turn right onto Berneckerstrasse and follow it around.
For all directions
The Institute for Pop Music is located on the right-hand side of the street. If arriving by car, continue straight ahead for approx. another 100 m, then turn right onto Prinz-Regent-Strasse. Turn right at the roundabout, then right again into the car park of the Institute for Pop Music. Please note there is only limited parking available.
By public transport
From Bochum central train station, take line 353 (low-floor bus) bound for Bochum Sundern, and get off at Prinz-Regent-Strasse. The Institute for Pop Music is on the right-hand side of the street.
